- Our Chamber has partnered wtih UGA - Griffin to bring back Georgia Drug Free Work Place.  Wouldn't you like to save 7 1/2 % off your Work. Comp. Insurance??  The First DWF Kick-off will be held on this date starting at 9am  to 1pm in the UGA Campus, Stuckey Building in Griffin.  Butts County has 40 places for supervisors to get trained to bring this program back to your workplace.  This is a free program to Chamber Members.  If you are not a Chamber Member it will be $200.  This can save you $$$$$  Please register with our office today if you would like to send someone from you business or organization for this training.  770-775-4839

To obtain drug-free workplace certification and qualify for the 7.5% discount on workers'
compensation premiums complete the following steps:

Step One
Your company must have a Substance Abuse Policy.
Step Two
Your company must conduct drug testing.
Step Three
Your company must conduct two hours of employee education each year.
Step Four
Your company must conduct two hours of supervisor training each year.
Step Five
Your company must either have an EAP (Employee Assistance Program) or,
a referral list of treatment and counseling centers in your area.

Application

The Council on Alcohol and Drugs, a 40 year-old 501(c)3 nonprofit organization
and parent corporation of the Drugs Don't Work program assists businesses and
organizations in achieving state certification as a drug free workplace and
qualifying for the state-mandated discount on workers compensation insurance.
